What is BB Cream?
BB cream, short for "beauty balm" or "blemish balm", is a product that is intended to moisturize, brighten, protect or give a matte texture to the skin. BB cream is basically a moisturizing product for skin care. It offers lighter coverage than the foundation, which is ideal for everyday use or for anyone who embraces skinimalism or loves this natural look that reminds as if we have not put on any makeup. Depending on the company, they may also offer sun protection (SPF) but this is not always the case.
What is CC Cream?
"CC" means "color correcting" or "complexion corrector". They are creams that have good coverage (not the same as a make-up, of course), moisturizing action and usually offer protection from the sun (SPF) (depending on the company, of course, but it is usually more common than in BB). In essence, they are used to cover various skin imperfections (spots, discolorations, pigmentation, etc.).
CC cream offers better coverage than BB cream.
